It seems like just about every major institution has been privatized—or at least corporatized—these days. The medical industry was privatized long ago. Even our military is now largely privatized.
Well, guess what. Corporations have taken over public education as well. This simple fact helps explain many major education issues, from the corporate media’s bizarre war on teachers to high stakes tests to the pig slop kids are now served in some public schools...all in the name of saving money that can be somehow diverted to Bill Gates and other corporate whores.
I worked for the Seattle School District for sixteen years and was the foremost critic of the late retired general John Stanford, who was being groomed for a position as U.S. Secretary of Education. I was speaking out on the Internet as early as 1995 and have run for public office six times. I know what I’m talking about.
I can even tell you why your local school board is the key to taking back the White House. Unfortunately, my words are largely lost on a nation of apathetic morons.
Do you care about children as much as many liberals care about freeing Tibet and saving the rainforest (though they’ll accomplish none of the above)? If so, I hope you appreciate some of the information and ideas I’ve presented on this website.
